Do you use Bayer Diabetes’ new Contour TS glucose meter? If so, check out this timely test strip recall announcement: "The company identified a manufacturing issue with test strips from specific lots that could result in blood glucose readings with a positive bias that is outside of our product specifications. Test results may demonstrate results 5 -17% higher."
So you may be doing better than you think?! Kind of a double-edged sword, ay?
Anyway, the recall applies only to specific lot numbers of Contour TS (Total Simplicity…) strips, and does not affect the strips used with any other Bayer meters, such as Ascensia Contour or Ascensia Breeze2 systems.
"Please call your Bayer customer service phone number (in the U.S., call 1-800-348-8100) to return any affected bottle of strips and to get a replacement."
